Karen A. Jersey, 55, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died March 15, 2010 at Shand’s Hospital at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. Born in Astoria, New York, she had lived in Port St. Lucie, Florida for 17 years, coming from Liberty, New York.
She was a beautician with Hair Cuttery for 17 years and worked at the shop in Port St. Lucie. She also had worked for QVC for 5 years. Survivors include sons, Jason John Jersey of Stuart, Florida and Tommy Jersey of Port St. Lucie; her mother Catherine A. Siano and stepfather Bill Nilsson of Palm City, a brother Frank Edward Kiefer of Palm City; a sister Georgann Siano of Bronxville, New York and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Vincent Jersey II in 1991; her father Frank Joseph Kiefer and stepfather Neil Joseph Siano.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM on March 18, 2010, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes – Palm City Chapel. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 AM on March 19, 2010 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
